This Video Poker Online lesson begins with the classic versions also available at land-based casinos and moves to selections that are unique to online gambling for this Learn to Play Video Poker lesson.

Classic Video Poker Online Games:
Jacks or Better
The classic video poker game--in Jacks or Better the player is dealt five cards and must choose which to 'hold.'  The player then discards the remaining cards and is dealt replacements. The final hand is considered a winning hand if the player has a pair of jacks or better.

Deuces Wild
A popular version of draw poker both on and offline, 2’s are wild and the minimum winning hand is three of a kind.

Joker Poker
Joker Poker is a draw poker version that offers a combination of wild cards, and special payouts for select hands. The final hand is considered a winner if the player has a pair of kings or better.

Pick ‘Em Poker
Pick 'Em Poker is a different kind of video poker game. Players receive two single cards starting from the left and then two sets of three cards. Players must choose between these two sets for the set they believe will yield the best hand.  Once the selection is made, the other cards are revealed making a poker hand.

Unique Video Poker Online Games:
Video Poker Online: Aces & Eights
Aces and Eights is played like Jacks or Better, with the player receiving five cards and at least a pair of jacks required to win.   The game also offers special payouts for select hands, including four aces and four eights.

Video Poker Online: 2 Ways Royal
Like other versions of video poker, the object of 2 Ways Royal is to receive a five-card poker hand that contains a winning combination. The most notable difference however, is that the game offers a “Lo Royal Flush”—a combination of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 of the same suit—that pays the same as the traditional or “Hi Royal Flush”-- 10, J, Q, K, A of the same suit.

Video Poker Online: Power Poker Options
Power Poker is similar to traditional video poker except that players are dealt multiple hands of five cards each. One hand will be dealt initially and from this, players select the cards to hold or discard.  When holding a card, those cards will also appear in the same position in the remaining hands. All hands subsequently have their remaining spaces replaced with new cards.
